Aamir - A true INDIAN

I took Hindi as third language for three years in my school.Let me be very clear here. I took Hindi as third language.... But i never learned it ;-)... Here is the most funniest part. I copied from two of my friends in Hindi exam and got 95% but they managed to get only 85% :-)... Till now i can read Hindi but cant speak ;-) [but i can understand few words... thanks to my north Indian friends :-)].A big thanks to the English subtitles which helped me in watching Hindi movies.Jokes apart. Lets be a bit serious.

"WHO IS THIS AAMIR?".. A Muslim who returns home (India)after practicing doctor in London and gets trapped into a terrorist act unknowingly. Wanna know the state of Muslims in India?....... The airport scene where the customs officer checks aamir's belongings again and again(as he is a Muslim) is a perfect example(Its not the way India looks at Muslims but by most of the world countries).Aamir Ali finds that no one from his family has come to welcome him. When he tries to call his home, no one replies. At this point two strangers come to him and hand over him a mobile.Aamir has no other option(coz his family is held by the terrorist) except listen to what the villain says. This is where the run begins(Both for the hero and us).
Aamir is an ordinary guy who wanted to finish his medicine and live a peaceful life with his family(mother, two sisters and a brother..... It gives an additional sentiment to the hero's character). But he gets framed into a dreadful plan by a group of terrorists to do a bomb blast in a bus. Aamir wants to write his own destiny. But here the baddy writes Aamir's destiny.Rajeev Khandelwal does his best as Dr. Aamir Ali. Another one into the list of best actors of Indian cinema. The cinematography is excellent. He does a neat job in making this movie a perfect thriller. The music director(Amit Trivedi) keeps the pace of the movie steady. And the editor(Aarti Bajaj) keep you glued to the seat till the end. The technical team give the perfect support to the director(Rajkumar Gupta). The natural locations(crowded roads and streets with no junior artists) without any sets makes us easily get into the movie.

I am happy that even Indian cinema can bring out movies of this sort. This movie portrays how innocent people are pulled into terrorism. How a man's life takes a sudden diversion because of the selfishness of a group of terrorists. The climax raises your blood pressure. What will Aamir decide? his family or his country?. The end.... A proud moment for every Indian. You country comes first... next comes your religion. The way Muslims are seen as terrorists is a disheartening thing. Is there no way for Muslims to study well and shine in their life??. Except for the gulf countries its difficult for any Muslim to get into any country. Its because of the ruthless act of few terrorists thats affecting all the innocent world Muslims. Is there no end to this??. Only time can answer this. As an Indian Muslim, i too wait for the day. This movie is a must watch for every Indian. As an Indian i enjoyed this movie a lot. Jai Hind.

My rating is 4.5/5.

RAHMAN maintains his class with style in "SAKKARAKATTI"

"ALL PRAISES TO THE ALMIGHTY"... The first words that come from Rahman whenever he starts conversation with anyone. I also like to thank the ALMIGHTY for giving me the topic for my second post ;-) [Phew.. Was a very tough thing for me to decide after the first post].... i wanna review Rahman's magic in 'SAKKARAKATTI' in my style.. Am i capable of commenting on Rahman's music???[I ll ask it myself before u people try to ask it to me ;-) ]. Ya. A sensible question. My answer is, "No way guys. I have decided to do it. So no one gonna stop me... he he he." [Trying to give a villain's touch here ;-) ].Ok. Let me start it. I downloaded these songs[Thanks to the uploaders :-)... Good work guys.. keep rocking] coz i heard it from my buddies that its Rahman's album. When i had the first rush of all the songs, i was a bit satisfied. On repeated listenings i was sure of blockbuster songs of 2008 :-)

1) TAXI TAXI(Benny,Blaaze,Viviane,Javed) - My pick of the album. A peppy number from ARR.Gonna top the charts and the young hearts. The beats and the rap by blaaze can make anyone dance. Makes you like it the very first time you listen to it. It reminds me Daddy yankee at certain places but its the Rahman's touch that makes you enjoy it to the core :-)

2) ELAY(Krish,Harish) - Its the strings that carry this song with the same momentum from the beginning till the end. The lyrics portray the present thoughts of the youth beautifully. It has the style of 'Robaroo' from Rang de basanti but the violin and the guitars makes you forget that easily. This song gonna be a style statement among the young guns.

3) I MISS U DA(Chinmayi) - An erotic and enigmatic number from Rahman.Rahman is at his best here, with flawless harmony. The musical interludes coupled with the erotic voice by Chinmayi takes the listeners by surprise. It is like feeling the soft warmth of the early morning sun while on a leisurely walk.

4) CHINNAMMA CHILAKAMMA(Benny,Chinmayi) - Song has been inspired by Rahman's Chinamma song in 'Meenaxi'(Bollywood). Beginning with a brilliant flute, it goes on to gather momentum. The chorus does a fine work along with the female lead. I have not heard the hindi version completely but this tamil version is refreshing and reverberating. Rahman does a commendable work with the instruments thats sure of making this number a hit.

5) NAAN EPPODHU (Reena Bharadwaj) - This number is also from one of Rahman's bollywood tunes. This is the only song in this album which has not attracted me much. Maybe it doesny sink well with the tamil lyrics. But i am sure that it can start haunting you on repeated listenings. Slow poison - Rahman's music :-)

6) MARUDHAANI(Madhushree, Rahman) - A romantic number from ARR's music factory after "Munbe vaa". Its Madhushree who carries the song well.Rahman's voice which comes in at the exact places, lifts up the song very well along with the feel. I read in an article that this song is the romantic feelings of a boy in a girl's point of view [A scintillating thought from a debutant director ;-)... Tamil movies are sure for Oscars in the future.. he he he]. Let the director think anything. But Rahman has done full justice to this number. To all the girls out there - "Here is another romantic song, ready to be added on to your favourites list ;-) "....

My final verdict is "DON'T MISS IT"....My Rating is 4/5.

BIT NEWS: Rahman was not sure of doing this project coz he was busy with other commitments.Director Kalaprabu(Producer Kalaipuli Thanu's son) wanted Rahman at any cost as he is gonna be the crowd puller for the film. Kalaprabu gave six tunes(which rahman did in bollywood) to ARR and asked him to do them in tamil. But Rahman did not want to disappoint his fans so he did 4 new tunes and the rest 2 from hindi. Cheers to the man :-). The "MOZART OF INDIA".

My craziest decision to write a blog

Why do i want to write a blog?... It sounded absolutely funny and strange to me when i decided to do it.. Why i have not got this ridiculous idea in these three years(i got my broadband only in 2005...he he) but suddenly now?.. From where did this thing suddenly creep into this creature?.Hmmmmm.. Ya.. Thats right.EUREKA!!! I have got it. Its TCS!!!. Well its the wait for the joining date of TCS that has made me a writer(I think the word "Writer" is too much for me here). I think TCS will be very proud of this one day(hope that i will be in TCS at least on that day). TCS is just a trigger for me to start this blog, but continuing further depends solely on my talent(hoping to get it soon :-) ). I am a guy who always takes the life on the lighter side(but physically i am on the Heavier side..he he) and i want to share it with everyone in the lighter way. I have decided to write anything which strikes my heart or mind(Believe me guys... I too have them). I am gonna use this blog to share my joys and sorrows with everyone who has the sympathy and patience to read it.I hope my friends have got a lot of it.I am a normal guy who managed to get a B.E from a "so called reputed college" - MADRAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY,CHENNAI (thanks to the Physically handicapped reservation by our TAMILNADU government and to the staffs who made me graduate out without a cup...he he he) Do excuse me if i go wrong in my grammar(I haven't scored a 'S' in English in my college... To be frank, i haven't scored a 'S' in any of the subjects in college). Is this decision crazy??? Only time and my wonderful friends out there can give the answer.. Let these few words be the beginning of a new era in Bloggers world(Am I exaggerating too much??)
